Naur, actually i know about it from Twitter or X (whatever it is lol) and it get hyped a lot with positive feedback. So yah, i'm in! Released in February 2019, Your Letter by Hyeon A Cho, only has 10 chapters. The story is about Sori, who becomes a bully target after defending Julie, her classmate who has been bullied. Julie is transferring schools, so she did the same to escape. But even after switching schools, she somehow can't forget her experience as a bullying victim. Struggling with her new school life, one day, she discovers a mysterious letter under her desk. And this is where her new school life becomes more exciting, with the search of a trail of mysterious letters. While solving the mystery and connecting the dots, she connects with Eugene and everyone else who is connected to Yeon Jung, the mastermind. Of course, there's a plot twist! As someone who moves schools a lot, i wish i could do the same letter thing with my friends. Something like, try to find a piece of memory i left for yalls lol. But my school life is not so interesting and i contemplate a lot to be the mastermind lol. When it comes to bullying, I honestly don't understand how you can allow yourself to be a punching bag, physically and emotionally tortured. Why are you so weak? This may sound harsh to some people, especially the bully victims. But i really want to understand. When i was young, i knew someone who was isolated because of her crippled father (i think so). But even her appearance was, umm, wrinkled everywhere. I try to befriend her, but because of the isolation that she gets, i read the room and conclude that this is not a suitable option for me, a transfer student at the time. Duh, my selfish ass definitely can't act like how Sori defends Julie lol. I'm sorry, please just stand up for yourself. And i'm so grateful that i've never been isolated by my classmates. In fact, i'm the one who isolates myself lol. Back to the story, you should read it if you are looking for a heartwarming story. It suits its drama genre, i was kicking air and my eyes were watery after the seventh chapter. I don't want to spoil the ending of this story, but it is not how i wish it to be. Too short. I DON'T WANT IT TO END HAHAHAH. Let's make another sequel, author-nim! Something like a love triangle between Sori, Eugene and Yeon Jung? I romanticize everything, i know. Life is not interesting without love story lol. But the author intends to keep the plot as light as a morning breeze, which i enjoy, as well as the beautiful artwork. Anyways, you can click here to read the webtoon. Cheers! Labels: webtoon review |
